“Mind (as well as metals and elements) may be transmuted, from state to state; degree to degree; condition to condition; pole to pole; vibration to vibration. True Hermetic Transmutation is a Mental Art.”<\/strong>

The Hermetists were the original alchemists, astrologers, and psychologists, Hermes having been the founder of these schools of thought. From astrology has grown modern astronomy; from alchemy has grown modern chemistry; from the mystic psychology has grown the modern psychology of the schools.<\/strong>
\u8d6b\u723e\u58a8\u65af\u4e3b\u7fa9\u8005\u662f\u6700\u539f\u59cb\u7684\u7149\u91d1\u8853\u58eb\u3001\u5360\u661f\u5b78\u5bb6\u548c\u5fc3\u7406\u5b78\u5bb6\uff0c\u8d6b\u723e\u58a8\u65af\u4e00\u76f4\u662f\u9019\u4e9b\u601d\u60f3\u5b78\u6d3e\u7684\u5275\u59cb\u4eba\u3002\u4ed6\u5011\u77e5\u66c9\u8f49\u8b8a\u7684\u79d8\u5bc6\u3002\u5f9e\u5360\u661f\u5b78\u6f14\u8b8a\u51fa\u73fe\u4ee3\u5929\u6587\u5b78\uff1b\u5f9e\u7149\u91d1\u8853\u6f14\u8b8a\u51fa\u73fe\u4ee3\u5316\u5b78\uff1b\u5f9e\u795e\u79d8\u5fc3\u7406\u5b78\u6f14\u8b8a\u51fa\u73fe\u4ee3\u5404\u500b\u5b78\u6d3e\u7684\u5fc3\u7406\u5b78\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

The word “Transmute” means “to change from one nature, form, or substance, into another; to transform”. “Mental Transmutation” means the art of changing and transforming mental states, forms, and conditions, into others.<\/strong>
\u201c\u8f49\u8b8a\u201d\u7684\u8a5e\u610f\u662f\u201c\u5f9e\u4e00\u7a2e\u6027\u8cea\u3001\u5f62\u5f0f\u3001\u6216\u4e00\u7a2e\u7269\u8cea\u8f49\u8b8a\u70ba\u53e6\u4e00\u7a2e\uff1b\u8f49\u5316\u201d\u3002\u201c\u5fc3\u7406\u8f49\u8b8a\u201d\u662f\u6307\u5c07\u5fc3\u7406\u72c0\u614b\u3001\u5f62\u5f0f\u3001\u548c\u5916\u5883\u8f49\u8b8a\u548c\u8f49\u5316\u7684\u85dd\u8853\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first of the Seven Hermetic Principles is the Principle of Mentalism, the axiom of which is “THE ALL is Mind; the Universe is Mental,” which means that the Underlying Reality of the Universe is Mind; and the Universe itself is Mental–that is, “existing in the Mind of THE ALL.”<\/strong>
\u4e03\u689d\u8d6b\u723e\u58a8\u65af\u6cd5\u5247\u7684\u7b2c\u4e00\u689d\u662f\u5fc3\u7406\u6cd5\u5247\uff0c\u5176\u516c\u7406\u662f\u201c\u672c\u9ad4\u662f\u5fc3;\u5b87\u5b99\u662f\u5fc3\u7406\u201d\uff0c\u9019\u610f\u5473\u8457\u5b87\u5b99\u7684\u57fa\u672c\u5be6\u76f8\u662f\u5fc3\u9748\uff0c\u800c\u5b87\u5b99\u672c\u8eab\u662f\u5fc3\u7406\u7684 – \u4e5f\u5c31\u662f\u8aaa\uff0c\u201c\u5b87\u5b99\u5b58\u5728\u65bc\u672c\u9ad4\u7684\u5fc3\u9748\u4e2d\u201d(\u771f\u5fc3\u3001\u672c\u6027)\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

If the Universe is Mental in its nature, then Mental Transmutation must be the art of CHANGING THE CONDITIONS OF THE UNIVERSE, along the lines of Matter, Energy and mind. “The Universe is Mental.”<\/strong>
\u5982\u679c\u5b87\u5b99\u662f\u5fc3\u7406\u7684\u6027\u8cea\uff0c\u90a3\u9ebc\u5fc3\u7406\u8f49\u8b8a\u5fc5\u9808\u662f\u8f49\u8b8a\u5b87\u5b99\u72c0\u614b\u7684\u85dd\u8853\uff0c\u4e00\u5b9a\u662f\u6cbf\u8457\u7269\u8cea\uff0c\u80fd\u91cf\u548c\u5fc3\u610f\u8b58\u7684\u8def\u7dda\u904b\u4f5c\u3002\u201c\u5b87\u5b99\u662f\u5fc3\u7406\u7684\u201d\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a matter of fact, none but advanced Mental Alchemists have been able to attain the degree of power necessary to control the grosser physical conditions, such as the control of the elements of Nature; the production or cessation of tempests; the production and cessation of earthquakes and other great physical phenomena.<\/strong>
\u4e8b\u5be6\u4e0a\uff0c\u552f\u6709\u9ad8\u968e\u5c64\u7684\u9748\u6027\u7149\u91d1\u8853\u58eb\uff0c\u80fd\u5920\u7372\u5f97\u63a7\u5236\u5049\u5927\u7684\u7269\u7406\u72c0\u6cc1\u6240\u9700\u7684\u529b\u91cf\uff0c\u4f8b\u5982\u63a7\u5236\u81ea\u7136\u7684\u56e0\u7d20; \u5f62\u6210\u548c\u505c\u6b62\u66b4\u98a8\u96e8\uff1b\u7522\u751f\u548c\u505c\u6b62\u5730\u9707\uff1b\u4ee5\u53ca\u5176\u4ed6\u5927\u898f\u6a21\u7684\u7269\u7406\u73fe\u8c61\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first of the Hermetic Seven Principles–the Principle of Mentalism, explains the truth that “THE ALL is Mind; the Universe is Mental”. It is really the Basic Principle of the whole Hermetic Philosophy, and of the Hermetic Art of Mental Transmutation.<\/strong>
\u8d6b\u723e\u58a8\u65af\u4e03\u689d\u6cd5\u5247\u7684\u7b2c\u4e00\u689d: \u5fc3\u7406\u6cd5\u5247\uff0c\u89e3\u91cb\u4e86\u9019\u500b\u771f\u7406:\u201c\u672c\u9ad4\u662f\u5fc3\uff1b\u5b87\u5b99\u662f\u5fc3\u7406\u3002\u201d\u5b83\u78ba\u5be6\u662f\u6574\u500b\u8d6b\u723e\u58a8\u65af\u54f2\u5b78\u548c\u8d6b\u723e\u58a8\u65af\u5fc3\u7406\u8f49\u5316\u8b8a\u85dd\u8853\u7684\u57fa\u672c\u6cd5\u5247\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u4e09\u3001Chapter IV The All \u7b2c\u56db\u7ae0 \u672c\u9ad4 (\u842c\u6709)<\/strong><\/span>
“Under, and back of, the Universe of Time, Space and Change, is ever to be found The Substantial Reality.” <\/strong>\u5728\u5b87\u5b99\u7684\u6642\u9593\u3001\u7a7a\u9593\u3001\u53ca\u8b8a\u5316\u4e4b\u80cc\u5f8c\uff0c\u6c38\u9060\u53ef\u4ee5\u627e\u5230\u5be6\u8cea\u6027\u73fe\u5be6 (\u4e00\u771f\u6cd5\u754c\uff0c\u8af8\u6cd5\u5be6\u76f8)\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Substance” means: “that which underlies all outward manifestations; the essence; the essential reality; the thing in itself,” etc. “Substantial” means: “actually existing; being the essential element; being real,” etc. “Reality” means: “the state of being real; true, enduring; valid; fixed; permanent; actual,” etc.<\/strong>
\u201c\u5be6\u8cea (Substance)\u201d \u610f\u6307\u201c\u96b1\u85cf\u65bc\u4e00\u5207\u5916\u5728\u7684\u8868\u8c61\u4e4b\u4e0b\u7684; \u672c\u8cea\u3001\u57fa\u672c\u5be6\u76f8\u3001\u4e8b\u7269\u672c\u8eab\u7b49\u3002\u201c\u5be6\u8cea\u6027 (Substantial)\u201d\u201d \u610f\u6307\uff1a\u5be6\u969b\u5b58\u5728\u3001\u57fa\u672c\u8981\u7d20\u3001\u771f\u5be6\u7684\u7b49\u3002\u201c\u5be6\u76f8\u3001\u73fe\u5be6 (Reality)\u201d\u662f\u6307\u201c\u771f\u5be6\u7684\u72c0\u614b\uff0c\u771f\u5be6\u7684\u3001\u6301\u4e45\u7684\u3001\u6709\u6548\u7684\u3001\u56fa\u5b9a\u7684\u3001\u6c38\u4e45\u7684\u3001\u5be6\u969b\u7684\u7b49\u7b49\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under and behind all outward appearances or manifestations, there must always be a Substantial Reality. Man considering the Universe, sees nothing but change in matter, energy, and mental states. He sees that nothing really IS, but that everything is BECOMING and CHANGING. Nothing stands still – everything is being born, growing, dying – the very instant a thing reaches its height, it begins to decline–the law of rhythm is in constant operation–there is no reality, enduring quality, fixity, or substantiality in anything– nothing is permanent but Change.<\/strong>
\u5728\u4e00\u5207\u5916\u5728\u7684\u8868\u8c61\u6216\u986f\u73fe\u7684\u80cc\u5f8c\uff0c\u4e00\u5b9a\u5b58\u5728\u8457\u56fa\u6709\u7684\u771f\u5be6\u672c\u6e90\u3002\u4eba\u985e\u4ed4\u7d30\u89c0\u5bdf\u5b87\u5b99\uff0c\u9664\u4e86\u770b\u5230\u7269\u8cea\u3001\u80fd\u91cf\u548c\u5fc3\u7406\u72c0\u614b\u7684\u8b8a\u5316\u4e4b\u5916\uff0c\u4ed6\u6c92\u770b\u5230 “\u5982\u662f”\u3001\u672c\u6709\u7684\u5be6\u76f8\u3002\u4ed6\u53ea\u770b\u5230\u6bcf\u4e00\u7a2e\u4e8b\u7269\u90fd\u5728\u6301\u7e8c\u751f\u6210\u548c\u8b8a\u5316\u3002(\u51e1\u6240\u6709\u76f8\uff0c\u90fd\u662f\u865b\u5e7b)\u3002\u6c92\u6709\u4ec0\u9ebc\u662f\u975c\u6b62\u7684\uff0c\u4e00\u5207\u90fd\u7d93\u6b77\u51fa\u751f\uff0c\u6210\u9577\uff0c\u6b7b\u4ea1\u3002\u4e00\u7a2e\u4e8b\u7269\u5728\u9054\u5230\u5dd4\u5cf0\u7684\u77ac\u9593\uff0c\u5c31\u958b\u59cb\u8d70\u4e0b\u5761\u3002\u7bc0\u594f\u6cd5\u5247\u4e99\u53e4\u4e0d\u8b8a\u7684\u5728\u904b\u884c – \u5728\u4efb\u4f55\u4e8b\u7269\u4e2d\uff0c\u90fd\u6c92\u6709\u771f\u5be6\uff0c\u6301\u4e45\u4e0d\u8b8a\u7684\u54c1\u8cea\u3001\u56fa\u5b9a\u6027\u3001\u6216\u5be6\u8cea\u6027\u5728\u4efb\u4f55\u6771\u897f – \u6c92\u6709\u4ec0\u9ebc\u4e8b\u7269\u662f\u6c38\u4e45\u7684\uff0c\u4e00\u5207\u90fd\u5728\u7121\u5e38\u8b8a\u5316\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

He sees all things evolving from other things, and resolving into other things–constant action and reaction; inflow and outflow; building up and tearing down; creation and destruction; birth, growth and death. Nothing endures but Change.<\/strong>
\u4ed6\u770b\u5230\u4e00\u5207\u4e8b\u7269\uff0c\u90fd\u5f9e\u5176\u4ed6\u4e8b\u7269\u6f14\u8b8a\u800c\u4f86\uff0c\u4e26\u4e14\u5206\u89e3\u6210\u5176\u4ed6\u4e8b\u7269 — \u4e00\u7a2e\u6c38\u4e45\u4e0d\u8b8a\u7684\u4f5c\u7528\u548c\u53cd\u4f5c\u7528; \u6d41\u5165\u548c\u6d41\u51fa; \u5efa\u7acb\u548c\u62c6\u9664; \u5275\u9020\u548c\u6bc0\u6ec5; \u51fa\u751f\uff0c\u751f\u9577\u548c\u6b7b\u4ea1\u3002\u9664\u4e86\u8b8a\u5316\uff0c\u6c92\u6709\u4ec0\u9ebc\u662f\u6046\u4e45\u7684\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

In these lessons, we have followed the example of some of the world’s greatest thinkers –the Hermetic Masters–and have called this Underlying Power–this Substantial Reality–by the Hermetic name of “THE ALL”. The Hermetists believe and teach that THE ALL, “in itself,” is and must ever be UNKNOWABLE. They regard all the theories, guesses and speculations of the theologians and metaphysicians regarding the inner nature of THE ALL, as but the childish efforts of mortal minds to grasp the secret of the Infinite.<\/strong>
\u5728\u9019\u4e9b\u6559\u5c0e\u4e2d\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u9075\u5faa\u4e86\u4e00\u4e9b\u4e16\u754c\u4e0a\u6700\u5049\u5927\u7684\u601d\u60f3\u5bb6\u7684\u699c\u6a23\uff0c\u8d6b\u723e\u58a8\u65af\u5927\u5e2b\u5011\uff0c\u4ed6\u5011\u628a\u9019\u7a2e\u96b1\u85cf\u7684\u529b\u91cf\u3001\u56fa\u6709\u7684\u771f\u5be6\u672c\u6e90\u7a31\u70ba\u201c\u672c\u9ad4\u201d\u3002\u8d6b\u723e\u58a8\u65af\u4e3b\u7fa9\u8005\u7684\u4fe1\u4ef0\u548c\u6559\u5c0e\uff0c\u672c\u9ad4\u201c\u81ea\u8eab\u201d\u662f\u4e0d\u53ef\u77e5\u7684\u3002\u4ed6\u5011\u8a8d\u70ba\u795e\u5b78\u5bb6\u548c\u5f62\u800c\u4e0a\u5b78\u5bb6\u5c0d\u672c\u9ad4\u7684\u5167\u5728\u672c\u8cea\u7684\u6240\u6709\u7406\u8ad6\uff0c\u731c\u6e2c\u548c\u63a8\u6e2c\uff0c\u90fd\u662f\u51e1\u4eba\u5e7c\u7a1a\u7684\u5690\u8a66\uff0c\u5984\u60f3\u638c\u63e1\u7121\u9650\u7684\u79d8\u5bc6\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

One pursuing such inquiries travels around and around in the labyrinth of thought. He is like the squirrel which frantically runs around and around the circling treadmill wheel of his cage, traveling ever and yet reaching nowhere–at the end a prisoner still, and standing just where he started.<\/strong>
\u8ffd\u6c42\u9019\u6a23\u67e5\u8a62\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u5728\u601d\u60f3\u7684\u8ff7\u5bae\u4e2d\u7e5e\u5708\u5b50\u3001\u539f\u5730\u6253\u8f49\u3002\u4ed6\u5c31\u50cf\u677e\u9f20\uff0c\u760b\u72c2\u5730\u570d\u7e5e\u8457\u4ed6\u7c60\u5b50\u88e1\u7684\u76e4\u65cb\u8dd1\u6b65\u6a5f\uff0c\u96d6\u7136\u6c38\u9060\u5728\u79fb\u52d5\uff0c\u4f46\u4ecd\u7136\u505c\u7559\u5728\u539f\u5730\u3002\u7d50\u679c\u4ecd\u7136\u662f\u4e00\u500b\u88ab\u95dc\u5728\u7c60\u5b50\u88e1\u7684\u56da\u72af\uff0c\u4ecd\u7136\u7ad9\u5728\u4ed6\u7684\u51fa\u767c\u9ede\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

The human reason informs us as follows regarding THE ALL:<\/strong>
\u4eba\u985e\u7684\u63a8\u7406\uff0c\u544a\u8a34\u6211\u5011\u5982\u4e0b\u95dc\u65bc\u672c\u9ad4\u7684\u7279\u6027\uff1a<\/strong>
(1) THE ALL must be ALL that REALLY IS. There can be nothing existing outside of THE ALL\u3002\u672c\u9ad4\u5fc5\u5b9a\u662f\u6574\u9ad4\u7684\uff0c\u5be6\u76f8\u662f\u6cd5\u723e\u5982\u662f\u3002\u6c92\u6709\u4efb\u4f55\u4e8b\u7269\u5b58\u5728\u65bc\u672c\u9ad4\u4e4b\u5916\u3002(\u5fc3\u5916\u7121\u6cd5\uff0c\u6cd5\u5916\u7121\u5fc3\u3002)<\/strong><\/p>\n

(2) THE ALL must be INFINITE, for there is nothing else to define, confine, bound, limit; or restrict THE ALL. It must be Infinite in Time, or ETERNAL,–it must have always continuously existed, it must continuously exist forever. It must be Infinite in Space–it must be Everywhere.”<\/strong>

Following the Principle of Correspondence, we are justified in considering that THE ALL creates the Universe MENTALLY, in a manner akin to the process whereby Man creates Mental Images. Death is not real, even in the Relative sense–it is but Birth to a new life–and You shall go on, and on, and on, to higher and still higher planes of life, for eons upon eons of time.<\/strong>

“As above, so below,” remember, and the phenomena of one plane may be employed to solve the riddles of higher or lower planes.<\/strong>

\u201c\u534a\u667a\u8005\uff0c\u8a8d\u8b58\u5230\u5b87\u5b99\u7684\u975e\u771f\u5be6\u6027\uff0c\u81c6\u8457\u4ed6\u5011\u53ef\u4ee5\u9055\u6297\u5b83\u7684\u6cd5\u5247 -\u9019\u662f\u5f92\u52de\u548c\u81ea\u4ee5\u70ba\u662f\u7684\u611a\u8822\u8005\u3002\u7531\u65bc\u4ed6\u5011\u611a\u8822\u7684\u898b\u89e3\uff0c\u4ee5\u5375\u64ca\u77f3\uff0c\u800c\u88ab\u81ea\u7136\u529b\u6495\u88c2\u5206\u958b\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

The truly wise, knowing the nature of the Universe, use Law against laws; the higher against the lower; and by the Art of Alchemy transmute that which is undesirable into that which is worthy, and thus triumph.<\/strong>

“Mastery consists not in abnormal dreams, visions and fantastic imaginings or living, but in using the higher forces against the lower–escaping the pains of the lower planes by vibrating on the higher. Transmutation, not presumptuous denial, is the weapon of the Master.”<\/strong>

While to THE INFINITE ALL, the Universe, its Laws, its Powers, its life, its Phenomena, are as things witnessed in the state of Meditation or Dream; yet to all that is Finite, the Universe must be treated as Real, and life, and action, and thought, must be based thereupon, accordingly, although with an ever understanding of the Higher Truth.<\/strong>
\u7136\u800c\uff0c\u5c0d\u65bc\u7121\u9650\u7684\u842c\u6709\u4f86\u8aaa\uff0c\u5b87\u5b99\u53ca\u5b83\u7684\u6cd5\u5247\u3001\u80fd\u529b\u3001\u751f\u547d\u548c\u5404\u7a2e\u73fe\u8c61\uff0c\u90fd\u662f\u6709\u5982\u5728\u51a5\u60f3\u548c\u5922\u60f3\u72c0\u614b\u4e2d\u7684\u6240\u5448\u73fe\u7684\u4e8b\u7269\u3002\u4f46\u662f\u5c0d\u65bc\u6709\u9650\u5c64\u9762\u7684\u773e\u751f\uff0c\u5b87\u5b99\u5fc5\u9808\u88ab\u8996\u70ba\u771f\u5be6\u7684\u4f86\u5c0d\u5f85\u5b83\uff0c\u751f\u547d\u3001\u884c\u52d5\u3001\u4ee5\u53ca\u601d\u60f3\uff0c\u5fc5\u9808\u8981\u4ee5\u6b64\u5efa\u7acb\u3002\u552f\u6709\u5982\u6b64\uff0c\u624d\u6709\u52a9\u65bc\u6211\u5011\u7406\u89e3\u548c\u53c3\u609f\u66f4\u9ad8\u5c64\u9762\u7684\u771f\u7406\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

And if Man, owing to half-wisdom, acts and lives and thinks of the Universe as merely a dream (akin to his own finite dreams) then indeed does it so become for him, and like a sleep-walker he stumbles ever around and around in a circle, making no progress, and being forced into an awakening at last by his falling bruised and bleeding over the Natural Laws which he ignored.<\/strong>
\u5982\u679c\u90a3\u4e9b\u4e26\u4e0d\u600e\u9ebc\u8070\u660e\u7684\u4eba\u50c5\u50c5\u628a\u5b87\u5b99\u60f3\u50cf\u6210\u4e00\u500b\u865b\u5e7b\u7684\u5922\uff0c\u90a3\u9ebc\u4ed6\u5011\u7684\u884c\u70ba\u3001\u8209\u6b62\u3001\u751f\u6d3b\u72c0\u614b\uff0c\u5c31\u50cf\u4e00\u500b\u5922\u904a\u8005\uff0c\u4ed6\u5011\u5c07\u8e63\u8dda\u7684\u5728\u539f\u5730\u7e5e\u5708\u5b50\uff0c\u6beb\u7121\u9032\u5c55\u3002\u6700\u5f8c\u5c07\u88ab\u4ed6\u6240\u5ffd\u7565\u7684\u81ea\u7136\u6cd5\u5247\uff0c\u78b0\u5f97\u81c9\u9752\u9f3b\u816b\u3001\u982d\u7834\u8840\u6d41\uff0c\u6700\u5f8c\u624d\u88ab\u8feb\u89ba\u9192\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Teachers are constantly warning their students against the error of omitting the “other side” of any question. And their warnings are particularly directed to the problems of the Absolute and the Relative.” \u660e\u5e2b\u4e0d\u65b7\u8b66\u544a\u5b78\u751f\u5011\uff0c\u4e0d\u8981\u72af\u5ffd\u7565\u4efb\u4f55\u554f\u984c\u7684\u201c\u53e6\u4e00\u65b9\u9762\u201d\u7684\u932f\u8aa4\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first thought that comes to the thinking man after he realizes the truth that the Universe is a Mental Creation of THE ALL, is that the Universe and all that it contains is a mere illusion; an unreality; against which idea his instincts revolt.<\/strong>
\u7576\u6709\u601d\u8003\u529b\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u610f\u8b58\u5230\u201c\u5b87\u5b99\u662f\u672c\u9ad4\u5fc3\u7406\u6240\u5275\u9020\u201d\u7684\u771f\u76f8\u4e4b\u5f8c\uff0c\u4ed6\u7684\u7b2c\u4e00\u60f3\u6cd5\u662f\uff0c\u5b87\u5b99\u53ca\u5176\u5305\u542b\u5728\u5b83\u88e1\u9762\u7684\u4e00\u5207\u90fd\u662f\u5e7b\u89ba\u6216\u4e0d\u771f\u5be6\u7684\u3002\u5c0d\u65bc\u9019\u500b\u60f3\u6cd5\u4ed6\u672c\u80fd\u7684\u53cd\u53db\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

But like all other great truths, must be considered both from the Absolute and the Relative points of view. From the Absolute viewpoint,, the Universe is in the nature of an illusion, a dream, a phantasmagoria, as compared to THE ALL in itself. Anything that has a beginning and an ending must be, in a sense, unreal and untrue. From the Absolute point of view, there is nothing Real except THE ALL. Whether the Universe be created of Matter, or whether it be a Mental Creation in the Mind of THE ALL–it is unsubstantial, non-enduring, a thing of time, space and change.<\/strong>
\u4f46\u662f\uff0c\u5c31\u50cf\u5176\u4ed6\u5049\u5927\u7684\u771f\u7406\u4e00\u6a23\uff0c\u5fc5\u9808\u540c\u6642\u5f9e\u7d55\u5c0d\u548c\u76f8\u5c0d\u7684\u5169\u500b\u65b9\u9762\u8faf\u8b49\u5730\u770b\u5f85\u4e00\u5207\u4e8b\u7269\u3002\u5f9e\u7d55\u5c0d\u7684\u89c0\u9ede\u4f86\u770b\u5f85\uff0c\u8207\u672c\u9ad4\u76f8\u6bd4\uff0c\u5b87\u5b99\u5982\u5e7b\u3001\u5982\u5922\uff0c\u662f\u500b\u5e7b\u8c61\u3002\u4efb\u4f55\u6709\u958b\u59cb\u3001\u6709\u7d50\u5c3e\u7684\u4e8b\u7269\uff0c\u90fd\u4e0d\u662f\u4e00\u500b\u5177\u9ad4\u7684\u3001\u5be6\u8cea\u6027\u7684\u5b58\u5728\u3002\u5f9e\u7d55\u5c0d\u89c0\u9ede\u4f86\u770b\uff0c\u9664\u4e86\u201c\u672c\u9ad4\u201d\u4e4b\u5916\uff0c\u6c92\u6709\u4efb\u4f55\u771f\u5be6\u7684\u6771\u897f\u5b58\u5728\u3002\u7121\u8ad6\u5b87\u5b99\u662f\u7269\u8cea\u6240\u5275\u9020\uff0c\u9084\u662f\u5b83\u662f\u672c\u9ad4\u5fc3\u9748\u6240\u5275\u9020 – \u5b83\u662f\u975e\u5be6\u8cea\u3001\u975e\u6301\u4e45\u3001\u96a8\u6642\u9593\u548c\u7a7a\u9593\uff0c\u4e0d\u65b7\u8b8a\u5316\u7684\u4e8b\u7269\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

But the Absolute point of view shows merely one side of the picture–the other side is the Relative one. To the finite minds forming a part of that Universe, and viewing it through mortal faculties, the Universe is very real indeed, and must be so considered. The Laws of the Universe are none the less “Iron Laws” because of the mental nature. All, except THE ALL, are bound by them. What is IN THE INFINITE MIND OF THE ALL is REAL.<\/strong>
\u4f46\u7d55\u5c0d\u7684\u89c0\u9ede\u53ea\u986f\u793a\u771f\u76f8\u7684\u4e00\u9762\uff0c\u53e6\u4e00\u9762\u662f\u76f8\u5c0d\u7684\u3002\u5c0d\u5f62\u6210\u7684\u5b87\u5b99\u4e00\u90e8\u5206\u7684\u6709\u9650\u5fc3\u9748\uff0c\u901a\u904e\u51e1\u4eba\u7684\u80fd\u529b\u89c0\u5bdf\u5b83\uff0c\u5b87\u5b99\u662f\u975e\u5e38\u771f\u5be6\u7684\uff0c\u4e5f\u5fc5\u9808\u5982\u6b64\u8a8d\u77e5\u7684\u3002\u5b87\u5b99\u7684\u6cd5\u5247\uff0c\u56e0\u5176\u5fc3\u7406\u672c\u8cea\uff0c\u662f\u201c\u9435\u5b9a\u7684\u898f\u5f8b\u201d\u3002\u9664\u4e86\u672c\u9ad4\uff0c\u6240\u6709\u842c\u7269\u90fd\u8981\u63a5\u53d7\u4ed6\u5011\u7d04\u675f\u3002\u672c\u9ad4\u7684\u7121\u9650\u5fc3\u5ff5\u662f\u771f\u5be6\u7684\uff0c\u53ea\u6b21\u65bc\u6574\u9ad4\u672c\u6709\u7684\u81ea\u6027\u3002\u9664\u4e86\u672c\u9ad4\u4e4b\u5916\uff0c\u842c\u7269\u90fd\u53d7\u5176\u5236\u7d04\u3002\u5728\u672c\u9ad4\u7121\u9650\u5fc3\u9748\u4e2d\u7684\u4e00\u5207\uff0c\u90fd\u662f\u771f\u5be6\u7121\u865b\u7684\u3002<\/strong>
We commit a folly when we attempt to deny the existence of Matter in the relative aspect. We may deny its mastery over us, but we should not attempt to ignore it in its relative aspect, at least so long as we dwell upon its plane.<\/strong>
\u7576\u6211\u5011\u5728\u76f8\u5c0d\u5c64\u9762\u4e0a\uff0c\u5426\u5b9a\u7269\u8cea\u7684\u5b58\u5728\u6642\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u5c31\u72af\u4e86\u611a\u8822\u7684\u932f\u8aa4\u3002\u6211\u5011\u53ef\u4ee5\u5426\u8a8d\u5b83\u638c\u63a7\u8457\u6211\u5011\uff0c\u4f46\u6211\u5011\u4e0d\u61c9\u8a72\u5728\u5b83\u7684\u76f8\u5c0d\u5c64\u9762\u4e0a\uff0c\u8a66\u5716\u5ffd\u7565\u5b83\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nor do the Laws of Nature become less constant or effective, when we know them, likewise, to be merely mental creations. They are in full effect on the various planes. We overcome the lower laws, by applying still higher ones — and in this way only. But we cannot escape Law or rise above it entirely.<\/strong>
\u7576\u6211\u5011\u4e86\u89e3\u5b83\u5011\u53ea\u662f\u5fc3\u7406\u7684\u5275\u9020\u7269\u6642\uff0c\u81ea\u7136\u6cd5\u5247\u6c38\u9060\u5982\u4e00\u3001\u751f\u6548\u3002\u5b83\u5011\u5728\u5404\u500b\u5c64\u9762\u4e0a\u5145\u5206\u767c\u63ee\u5176\u4f5c\u7528\u3002\u6211\u5011\u53ea\u80fd\u901a\u904e\u904b\u7528\u8f03\u9ad8\u5c64\u7d1a\u7684\u6cd5\u5247\u4f86\u514b\u670d\u8f03\u4f4e\u5c64\u7d1a\u7684\u6cd5\u5247\u3002\u4f46\u6211\u5011\u4e0d\u80fd\u9003\u907f\u6cd5\u5247\u6216\u5b8c\u5168\u8d85\u8d8a\u5b83\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

Those Laws which THE ALL intends to be governing Laws are not to be defied or argued away. So long as the Universe endures, will they endure–for the Universe exists by virtue of these Laws which form its framework and which hold it together.<\/strong>

Under any hypothesis, the Universe in its outer aspect is changing, ever-flowing, and transitory–and therefore devoid of substantiality and reality. But we are compelled to ACT AND LIVE as if the fleeting things were real and substantial.<\/strong>

But do not yield to the temptation which, as The Kybalion states, overcomes the half-wise and which causes them to be hypnotized by the apparent unreality of things, the consequence being that they wander about like dream-people dwelling in a world of dreams,<\/strong>
ignoring the practical work and life of man, the end being that “they are broken against the rocks and torn asunder by the elements, by reason of their folly.”<\/strong>

Rather follow the example of the wise, which the same authority states, “use Law against Laws; the higher against the lower; and by the Art of Alchemy transmute that which is undesirable into that which is worthy, and thus triumph.”<\/strong>

The Hermetic Teachings are to the effect that THE ALL is Imminent in (“remaining within; inherent; abiding within”) its Universe, and in every part, particle, unit, or combination, within the Universe. \u8d6b\u723e\u58a8\u65af\u5b78\u8aaa\u7684\u5927\u610f\u662f\uff1a\u201c\u672c\u9ad4\u201d\u662f\u5167\u5728\u65bc\u5b87\u5b99\u4e2d\uff0c\u5b83\u5b58\u5728\u65bc\u5b87\u5b99\u7684\u6bcf\u4e00\u500b\u90e8\u5206\u3001\u5fae\u7c92\u3001\u55ae\u5143\u6216\u8907\u5408\u9ad4\u4e4b\u4e2d\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Teacher instructs the student to form a Mental Image of something, a person, an idea, something having a mental form. The favorite example being that of the author or dramatist forming an idea of his characters; or a painter or sculptor forming an image of an ideal that he wishes to express by his art. \u8001\u5e2b\u6559\u5c0e\u5b78\u751f\u5f62\u6210\u67d0\u7269\uff0c\u4e00\u500b\u4eba\uff0c\u4e00\u500b\u5275\u610f\u3001\u4e00\u4e9b\u5177\u6709\u5fc3\u7406\u5f62\u5f0f\u7684\u4e8b\u7269\u7684\u5fc3\u7406\u5716\u50cf\u3002\u6700\u559c\u611b\u7684\u4f8b\u5b50\u662f\u4f5c\u8005\u6216\u5287\u4f5c\u5bb6\u5982\u4f55\u5f62\u6210\u4ed6\u7684\u4eba\u7269\u7684\u60f3\u6cd5; \u6216\u8005\u756b\u5bb6\u6216\u96d5\u5851\u5bb6\u5f62\u6210\u4ed6\u5e0c\u671b\u901a\u904e\u4ed6\u7684\u85dd\u8853\u8868\u9054\u7684\u7406\u60f3\u7684\u5f62\u8c61\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

In each case, the student will find that while the image has its existence, and being, solely within his own mind, yet he, the student, author, dramatist, painter, or sculptor, is, in a sense, immanent in; remaining within; or abiding within, the mental image also. In other words, the entire virtue, life, spirit, of reality in the mental image is derived from the “immanent mind” of the thinker.<\/strong>

To take a modern example, let us say that Othello, Iago, Hamlet, Lear, Richard III, existed merely in the mind of Shakespeare, at the time of their conception or creation. And yet, Shakespeare also existed within each of these characters, giving them their vitality, spirit, and action.<\/strong>
\u8209\u4e00\u500b\u73fe\u4ee3\u7684\u4f8b\u5b50\uff0c\u8b93\u6211\u5011\u8a2d\u60f3\uff0c\u5967\u8cfd\u7f85\uff0c\u4f0a\u6208\uff0c\u54c8\u59c6\u96f7\u7279\uff0c\u674e\u723e\u738b\uff0c\u7406\u67e5\u4e09\u4e16\uff0c\u9019\u4e9b\u4eba\u7269\u5728\u4ed6\u5011\u7684\u69cb\u60f3\u6216\u5275\u4f5c\u7684\u6642\u9593\u88e1\uff0c\u53ea\u5b58\u5728\u65bc\u838e\u58eb\u6bd4\u4e9e\u7684\u5fc3\u601d\u3002\u7136\u800c\uff0c\u838e\u58eb\u6bd4\u4e9e\u4e5f\u5b58\u5728\u65bc\u6bcf\u500b\u89d2\u8272\u4e2d\uff0c\u4e26\u8ce6\u65bc\u4ed6\u5011\u751f\u547d\u529b\u3001\u9748\u9b42\u548c\u884c\u52d5\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

Whose is the “spirit” of the characters that we know as Micawber, Oliver Twist, Uriah Heep–is it Dickens, or have each of these characters a personal spirit, independent of their creator? Man, like Micawber, may exclaim: “The Spirit of my Creator is inherent within me– and yet I am not HE!”<\/strong>

THE ALL is in the earthworm, and yet the earth-worm is far from being THE ALL. And still the wonder remain, that though the earthworm exists merely as a lowly thing, created and having its being solely within the Mind of THE ALL–yet THE ALL is immanent in the earthworm, and in the particles that go to make up the earthworm. Can there be any greater mystery than this of “All in THE ALL; and THE ALL in All?”<\/strong><\/span>

There are many planes of Being–many sub-planes of Life–many degrees of existence in the Universe. And all depend upon the advancement of beings in the scale, of which scale the lowest point is the grossest matter, the highest being separated only by the thinnest division from the SPIRIT of THE ALL. And, upward and onward along this Scale of Life, everything is moving. All are on the Path, whose end is THE ALL. All progress is a Returning Home. All is Upward and Onward, in spite of all seemingly contradictory appearances. Such is the message of the Illumined.<\/strong><\/span>
\u751f\u5b58\u6709\u8a31\u591a\u968e\u5c64\u5b58\u5728 – \u8a31\u591a\u6f5b\u5728\u7684\u751f\u547d\u7684\u6b21\u5c64\u9762 – \u5728\u5b87\u5b99\u4e2d\u6709\u8a31\u591a\u5b58\u5728\u7684\u7b49\u7d1a\u3002\u4e00\u5207\u90fd\u4f9d\u8cf4\u65bc\u751f\u5b58\u7b49\u7d1a\u7684\u9032\u5316\u3002\u5176\u4e2d\u968e\u5c64\u6700\u4f4e\u662f\u7c97\u7cd9\u7684\u7269\u8cea\uff0c\u6700\u9ad8\u7684\u662f\u8207\u672c\u9ad4\u7684\u5fc3\u7406\u6700\u63a5\u8fd1\u7684\u5c64\u9762\u3002<\/strong><\/span>
\u6cbf\u8457\u751f\u547d\u968e\u5c64\u5411\u4e0a\u548c\u5411\u524d\uff0c\u6bcf\u4e00\u7a2e\u4e8b\u7269\u90fd\u5728\u904b\u52d5\u4e4b\u4e2d\u3002\u842c\u7269\u90fd\u5728\u4fee\u884c\u9053\u4e0a\uff0c\u5176\u7d42\u9ede\u662f\u672c\u9ad4\u3002\u6240\u6709\u63d0\u5347\u662f\u56de\u6b78\u6545\u9109\u3002\u4e00\u5207\u90fd\u5728\u5411\u4e0a\u548c\u5411\u524d\uff0c\u5118\u7ba1\u4e00\u5207\u5f9e\u5916\u8868\u770b\uff0c\u4f3c\u4e4e\u662f\u4e92\u76f8\u77db\u76fe\u3002\u9019\u5c31\u662f\u958b\u609f\u8005\u7684\u4fe1\u606f\u3002<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The ancient Hermetists use the word “Meditation” in describing the process of the mental creation of the Universe in the Mind of THE ALL, the word “Contemplation” also being frequently employed. The act of Attention is really a mental “reaching out; extension” of mental energy.\u201d \u53e4\u4ee3\u8d6b\u723e\u58a8\u65af\u795e\u79d8\u4e3b\u7fa9\u8005\u7528\u201c\u51a5\u60f3\u3001\u79aa\u5b9a\u201d \u9019\u4e00\u8a5e\u4f86\u63cf\u8ff0\u672c\u9ad4\u7684\u5fc3\u9748\u88e1\uff0c\u5fc3\u7406\u5275\u9020\u5b87\u5b99\u7684\u904e\u7a0b\u3002\u201c\u6c89\u601d\u201d\u9019\u540d\u8a5e\u4e5f\u7d93\u5e38\u88ab\u4f7f\u7528\u3002\u201c\u5c08\u6ce8\u201d\u7684\u884c\u70ba\u662f\u4e00\u7a2e\u5fc3\u7406\u80fd\u91cf\u7684\u201c\u4f38\u5c55\u548c\u5ef6\u4f38\u201d\u3002<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Hermetic Teachings regarding the process of Evolution are that, THE ALL, having meditated upon the beginning of the Creation–having thus established the material foundations of the Universe–having thought it into existence–then gradually awakens or rouses from its Meditation and in so doing starts into manifestation the process of Evolution, on the material mental and spiritual planes, successively and in order.<\/strong><\/span>

Thus the upward movement begins–and all begins to move Spiritward. Matter becomes less gross; the Units spring into being; the combinations begin to form; Life appears and manifests in higher and higher forms; and Mind becomes more and more in evidence–the vibrations constantly becoming higher.<\/strong><\/span>

In short, the entire process of Evolution, in all of its phases, begins, and proceeds according to the established “Laws of the Indrawing” process. All of this occupies aeons upon aeons of Man’s time, each aeon containing countless millions of years, but yet the Illumined inform us that the entire creation, including Involution and Evolution, of an Universe, is but “as the twinkle of the eye” to THE ALL.<\/strong><\/span>
\u7c21\u8a00\u4e4b\uff0c\u9032\u5316\u7684\u6574\u500b\u904e\u7a0b\uff0c\u5728\u6240\u6709\u7684\u968e\u6bb5\u958b\u59cb\uff0c\u7136\u5f8c\u6309\u7167\u201c\u5438\u5165\u6cd5\u5247\u201d\u904e\u7a0b\u9032\u884c\u3002\u6240\u6709\u9019\u4e9b\u904e\u7a0b\uff0c\u90fd\u7d93\u904e\u4eba\u985e\u6642\u9593\u7684\u5104\u842c\u52ab\u3002\u4f46\u662f\u958b\u609f\u8005\u544a\u8a34\u6211\u5011\uff0c\u5b87\u5b99\u7684\u6574\u500b\u5275\u9020\u904e\u7a0b\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u6d41\u51fa\u548c\u9032\u5316\uff0c\u5728\u672c\u9ad4\u4f86\u8aaa\uff0c\u53ea\u662f\u524e\u90a3\u3002(\u4e00\u5ff5\u6d77\u5370\u9813\u73fe\u3002)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The above illustration of the “meditation,” and subsequent “awakening from meditation,” of THE ALL, is of course but an attempt of the teachers to describe the Infinite process by a finite example. \u4e0a\u9762\u6240\u63cf\u8ff0\u7684\u95dc\u65bc\u672c\u9ad4\u201c\u51a5\u60f3\u201d\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u96a8\u5f8c\u7684\u201c\u5f9e\u51a5\u60f3\u4e2d\u7526\u9192\u201d\u7684\u89e3\u8aaa\uff0c\u7576\u7136\u53ea\u662f\u8001\u5e2b\u5011\u7528\u4e00\u500b\u6709\u9650\u7684\u4f8b\u5b50\u63cf\u8ff0\u7121\u9650\u904e\u7a0b\u7684\u5617\u8a66\u3002<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And, yet: “As Below, so Above.” The difference is merely in degree. And just as THE ALL arouses itself from the meditation upon the Universe, so does Man (in time) cease from manifesting upon the Material Plane, and withdraws himself more and more into the Indwelling Spirit, which is indeed “The Divine Ego.”<\/strong><\/span>

“WHY does THE ALL create Universes \uff1f” Men have striven hard to answer this question, but still there is no answer worthy of the name. Strictly speaking, there cannot be said to be any “Reason” whatsoever for THE ALL to act, for a “reason” implies a “cause,” and THE ALL is above Cause and Effect. THE ALL merely “IS” — “THE ALL ACTS BECAUSE IT ACTS.” At the last, THE ALL is All Reason in Itself; All Law in Itself; All Action in Itself.<\/strong><\/span>
