Paul Smith (September 21, 1921 \u2013 June 25, 2007) was an American typewriter artist. He suffered from severe spastic cerebral palsy from an early age. The loss of fine motor control of his face and hands made it impossible for him to attend school\u2014or even eat, clothe, or bathe himself\u2014and also made it difficult for him to express himself. \u4fdd\u7f85.\u53f2\u5bc6\u65af\u662f\u4e00\u4f4d\u5049\u5927\u7684\u7f8e\u570b\u6253\u5b57\u6a5f\u756b\u5bb6\u3002\u4ed6\u5f9e\u5c0f\u5c31\u60a3\u6709\u5927\u8166\u9ebb\u75f9\u75c7\u3002\u4ed6\u4e0d\u80fd\u5c0d\u624b\u53ca\u81c9\u90e8\u6709\u5fae\u7d30\u7684\u904b\u4f5c\u63a7\u5236\u3002\u4ed6\u4e0d\u80fd\u4e0a\u5b78\uff0c\u4e0d\u80fd\u81ea\u5df1\u5403\u6771\u897f\u3001\u7a7f\u8863\u670d\u3001\u6d17\u6fa1\uff0c\u4e5f\u5f88\u96e3\u4ee5\u8a9e\u8a00\u8868\u9054\u81ea\u5df1\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

Early in life Paul discovered the typewriter and a technique for using it to create pictures. He was able to use one hand to steady the other\uff0cand thus press the desired key. He was creating typewriter art by the age of 15 and steadily refined his technique.
