Arthur’s Inspirational Transformation! 亞瑟鼓舞人心的轉變!

一、緣起
兩年半前 (January 8, 2016),信堅張貼了一篇自己覺得相當好的文章,”略論鷹的重生 鳳凰浴火 生死涅槃 的寓意“,但相當失望,很少讀者點擊看此文。近幾天突然讀者暴增,因此信堅又回頭看自己到底寫了甚麼。同時也發現裡面有個寶藏,被信堅輕忽帶過。實在罪過。

該文導論裡提及,鷹可重生,人也可在分段生死裡重生,不要低估自己內在的潛力。只要不放棄,相信自己,就可重生,就可創造新生命。其中,介紹 一個相當棒的Youtube 影片 (點擊藍色標題,即可觀看) : “Arthur’s Inspirational Transformation! 亞瑟的勵志轉變”。被信堅輕忽帶過,沒有中文介紹或翻譯。信堅在此,重新挖出這寶藏,加以中文翻譯及註解。希望對讀者的勵志人生,有所助益。

For 15 years, Doctors told me, I would never walk unassisted again. I accepted this as fact.
過去15年來,所有的醫生都告訴我,我永遠不會再站立行走。 我也接受這個事實。

I was a 47- years-old disabled veteran… And I had basically given up.
我是一名47歲的殘疾退役軍人…而且我根本上,也自暴自棄了。

I was injured as a paratrooper in the Gulf War… Too many jumps took its toll, and my back and knees…I gained weight, a Lot of weight. Wouldn’t you have given up too?

I could not walk or run, exercise seems impossible, most Yoga instructors turned me away, All but one. He didn’t know me, but he believes in me… when no one else did. I felt many times, but I got back up.

Arthur Boorman was a disabled veteran of the Gulf War for 15 years, and was told by his doctors that he would never be able to walk on his own, ever again.
過去15年來,亞瑟一直是海灣戰爭的殘疾老兵,他的醫生告訴他,他今生永遠無法站著走路。

He stumbled upon an article about Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) doing Yoga and decided to give it a try. 在一個偶然的機會裡,他讀到了一篇關於 “鑽石達拉斯 (DDP)”教導關於煉瑜伽的文章,並決定試一試 。

Dallas was so moved by his story, he began emailing and speaking on the phone with Arthur throughout his journey – he encouraged Arthur to keep going and to believe that anything was possible.

Even though doctors told him walking would never happen, Arthur was persistent. He fell many times, but kept going.
即使醫生告訴亞瑟,獨自站立行走,在這一生,永遠不會發生。但亞瑟仍然堅持,努力不懈。他多次跌倒,但仍然又堅強的站起來,繼續努力奮鬥。

Arthur was getting stronger rapidly, and he was losing weight at an incredible rate! Because of DDP’s specialized workout, he gained tremendous balance and flexibility — which gave him hope that maybe someday, he’d be able to walk again.
亞瑟此種不屈不撓,堅持不懈的精神,迅速轉變了他的體能,也以驚人的速度減肥!由於DDP的專業訓練,他獲得了巨大的平衡和靈活性 。這讓他燃起了希望之火,相信有一天,他可以再次邁開大步走路。

  1. 天剛明,窹寐之際,窗外遠近各式鳥語此起彼落,出和雅音,又是豔陽光明普照的一天。顏想到:「佛以一音演說法,眾生隨類各得解。」

    世尊得道後五時說法,並非自相矛盾,只因時節因緣,隨機應物而說。
    只要能夠相信佛性本具,了解佛語真實義,並以真誠心老實真幹,條條道路通羅馬,差別只在遠近。各人選擇的法門(路)不同,但總要清楚目標在哪裡。

    何謂「念佛」?心裡時時刻刻思念著佛,用什麼方法思念最好?◕‿◕

    「有方法、有次第」的思念以親近佛境,與 圓融無門的「即心即佛」,並不衝突。心中若有佛,世尊涅槃了,也活在心中;而如果有人勇於承擔「自心是佛」,一體,也就無所謂思不思念了。

    誠心念佛靠佛菩薩慈悲加持是法門之一,但與修定開慧、學習經教、提高靈性並不衝突。定能生慧,智慧也會幫助進一步入定。

    顏想,「持名念佛」是佛菩薩慈悲,應有其時代背景因素,想想歷史上,有多少人能隨佛陀聽經聞法?有多少人識字?有多少人有佛經可讀?有多少人能遠道求得善知識指導並開悟?「持名念佛」權宜之教,是佛慈悲,但最終仍須導入正智,才能從根本,徹底解脫生死煩惱。持名念佛也是修定的一種法門,修此法門者,可藉由佛號修定,入定時任其入定,亂時則再依靠佛號取代妄念,若真能做到念到一心不亂,在事一心不亂的基礎上,再配合「實相念佛,念而無念,無念而念」,就是理一心不亂的捷徑。

    上面一段的分享,是顏實驗過的,真的很受用!但我個人仍覺得佛號掛心是負擔,目前改以清淨心法門。法門無好無壞,完全在個人適不適性,有一天,很有可能我會再重拾「實相念佛」法門,但相信等我以後開了智慧,念佛境界會是不一樣的。
