Philosophy Inspiring Thoughts 鼓舞人心的哲理 (中英對照)

1. Long Live Friendship! 友誼萬歲 ! 友誼天長地久!
Yes, we all need the support of a friend when we are down and our souls are weary.
是的! 當我們心灰意懶,當我們的靈魂感到厭倦時,我們需要朋友的支持與鼓舞。

This reminds me of a famous song, You Raise Me Up. Its lyrics read as follows: 這讓我想起了一首名歌,”你鼓舞了我“。它的歌詞如下:

When I am down, and, oh, my soul, so weary
When troubles come, and my heart burdened be
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me
當我心灰意懶,哦,我的靈魂,感到多麼的厭倦;
當困難來臨時,我的心背負著沉重的負擔。
然後,我身體寂靜不動,靜心的等待,
直到你的到來,並與我小坐片刻。

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains

你鼓舞了我,讓我能站在群峰頂上,高瞻遠矚;

2. Buddha was asked, “What have you gain from meditation?” He replied, “Nothing!” However, Buddha said, let me tell you what I lost: Anger, Anxiety, Depression, Insecurity, Fear of Old Age and Death.”
有人問佛:“你從禪定得到什麼?” 佛回答說:“無所得!”  然後,佛陀又說: “但讓我告訴你,我失去了什麼:憤怒,焦慮,抑鬱,不安,及對老、死的恐懼。”

3. When you try to control everything, you enjoy nothing. Relax, breathe, let go, and just live. 如果你試圖控制一切,你享受不到任何事。放鬆,深呼吸,放下,以平常心過日子。

關掉你的手機與關注跟你說話的人那一樣重要?iPhone 有一個術語叫 “尊重”。

5. If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present.
老子說: 如果你鬱鬱不樂,你是活在過去。如果你焦急,你是活在未來。如果你的心境平和,你是活在當下。

6. Two Things to Remember in Life: “Take care of your thoughts when you are alone”, and “Take care of your words when you are with people.”
人生要記住兩件事:“當你獨處時,小心你的思維、起心動念”,“當你與人在一起時,小心你的言論行為。”

7. Whoever said that diamonds are a girl’s best friend… he never owned a dog. 凡是說鑽石是女孩子最好朋友的人,他從未養過一隻狗。

8. Nature. Cheaper than therapy. 接觸大自然是最便宜的心靈治療。

9. Learn a lesson from your dog – No matter what life brings you, kick some grass over that shit and move on.
向狗學習 – 不管生活帶給你多少困擾,用腳將草踢蓋在糞便上,然後繼續前進。

I don’t have everything that I want, but I have all I needed.
I woke up with some aches and pains, but I woke up.
My life may not be perfect, but I am blessed.
我活過幸福快樂的日子,但我也遭遇到苦難的日子。
我沒有我想要的一切,但我擁有我需要的一切。
我醒來的時候,覺得周身疼痛,但我醒了,慶幸我還活著。
我生活中雖有很多不完美,但我過得很幸福快樂。

13. Spending time with children is more important than spending money on children. 花時間與小孩在一起,比花錢在孩子身上更重要。

14. Don’t regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many.
不要後悔變老。許多人被剝奪了這特權。

15. Live your life and forget your age.
忘掉你的年紀,快快樂樂的活在當下。
